This architectural website analysis is the fourth study in the series which make up this thesis. This study was primarily designed to address the theme of greenwashing but subsequently; it also addresses the theme of visual language. Screenshots of around 1800 projects were taken from about 90 architectural offices which all describe sustainability in their approach. These screenshots were collected, processed then analysed using content analysis. This study aimed to understand and describe how a cross-sectional group of architectural office websites describe and market the sustainability of their projects. This cross-sectional method creates a ‘snapshot’ of some examples within the field and examines the above-mentioned phenomenon at one point in time.
